          I’m Mahiya, a 35-year-old Indigenous artist, and every wallet I make carries a piece of my story. I learned this craft from my elders, who taught me that leatherwork isn’t just about making something useful — it’s about honoring our history and the land we come from. I hand-select each hide, carve every design slowly, and stitch with intention, knowing each symbol holds meaning. The process takes time, patience, and respect. When you hold one of my wallets, you’re holding tradition, resilience, and a part of who I am.
